IN HONOR OF NURSES WEEK

25 Vintage Pictures That Prove Nurses Have Always Been Badass. A nurse carries some of the great variety of drugs that are kept within easy reach of the recovery room at the New York Polyclinic Hospital in 1956.:

As an ICU nurse, we see families and patients in their worst times. The patients are scared, unsure, and that’s if they’re lucky enough to not have to be sedated and on multiple pain medications. We deal with the families and do our best to comfort them during these hard times. Sometimes families find out updates about the patients before we do, but we do our best to update them as fast as possible. Most of the time it feels like we can’t update them enough.

During these times, we hope that they can appreciate how hard we try. We hope we make a change in your life. We hope that we make a difference. We pray your loved one recovers and comes back to you. If your loved one doesn’t, we hope we can support you amazingly during the hardest time of your life. We try, we are determined, we pray we succeed.
